Mobile Information Services deliver data to users, usually in the form of an SMS message. Users can either subscribe to the service and pay on a per message recieved basis,sports scores and match reports are typically delivered this way, or send a message to a premium SMS service and receive the information they desire as a reply for example weather forecasts or traffic information.
Location based services are growing in popularity these use location data derived fro the phone network or GPS data to provide relevant information for example the location of the nearest cashpoint or the number of a local taxi firm.
