Defining convergence

The rise of IP based networks, the growth in mobile data capacity and the comoditisation of voice are all forces that are driving the convergence of voice and data traffic on both fixed and mobile networks. VoIP over WiFi is not yet mainsstream but is gaining ground. FMC in the enterprise is becomming more common with one handset working on both the in buildling PBX and our on the mobile network. Unified communications is becomming a key tool for some enterprises.
